District Instrumental Auditions are Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Bayard Rustin HS in West Chester. | REGION VI BAND & ORCHESTRA Congratulations to Jackie Ramsay, Nick Friez, and Kevin Turnbull who are moving on to the PMEA Region VI Band Festival at Octorara Area High School, February 16-18th. This festival features the top high school musicians from Delaware, Chester, Philadelphia, Bucks, and Montgomery Counties. It is quite an honor to be selected to the region level and these students should be commended for their hard work and dedication to attain this honor. Kevin Turnbull is also moving on to the PMEA Region VI Orchestra Festival at Pennridge HS March 22nd - 24th. Congratulations to our outstanding musicians! PMEA District 12 Band & Orchestra Many of our instrumental students participated in district band and orchestra auditions on Saturday, December 10th. This is where students from Delaware, Chester, and Philadelphia Counties come together to try-out for the PMEA District 12 Band & Orchestra Festivals. The students are selected based on achievement in many areas including solo, scales, and sight-reading.
Congratulations to Jackie Ramsay, Nick Friez, and Kevin Turnbull for being selected to the District 12 Band Festival on January 12-14, 2012 at Conestoga HS.
And congrats to Kevin Turnbull for also being selected to the District 12 Orchestra Festival on February 9-11, 2012 at Garnet Valley HS.
